The department will submit a memorandum indicating their recommendation including the vote and their support. The department will also attach a recommendation letter detailing the faculties accomplishments that justify the title of TITLE EMERITUS/EMERITA of (DISCIPLINE). The letter must describe the anticipated benefits of granting Professor LASTNAME emeritus status, including how this designation will support the professor’s continued engagement and advance the interests of the university.

To process the Emeritus/Emerita request, the following items need to be sent to facultyaffairs@mst.edu.

1. Emeritus Approval Memo Template filled out and signed by the Dean.
2. A current copy of the faculty members CV.
3. Department recommendation letter referenced above.
